Mediterranean Youth Mathematical Championship

Mediterranean Youth Mathematical Championship, MYMC (C009) is an Enrichment Programme Unit for students who would love to explore their aptitude for mathematics further and possibly compete abroad in a team against foreign students having their same aptitude.

 

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this unit, students should be able to:

Further details

Students are expected to have an aptitude for mathematics with a competitive and collaborative mindset. They are also expected to be respectful to their peers and eventual teammates. Students are presented with problems which they solve sometimes individually, sometimes in pairs, sometimes in groups and other times as an entire group.  

This unit is done jointly with students from all sixth form colleges in Malta and Gozo.

Conditions 

The program is open to first year students studying Mathematics at advanced matriculation level.

 

Registration/Participation fees 

  • No registration fees are required.
  • Should the team be participating in the championship abroad there will be fees for those consenting to participate.
