During this exposition, students are given the opportunity to attend information sessions regarding different study routes and career paths. Talks, stands, presentations and testimonials from professionals as well as information visits are included in the programme of activities. Representatives from different Faculties of the University of Malta, other higher education institutions, as well as prospective employers participate.
festAmbjent is a festival focused on environmental issues, organised by the Environmental Committee if the UM Junior College. During the festival, a series of seminars are held covering a variety of topics from different academic disciplines, providing students with the opportunity to explore environmental issues from a broader perspective.
This event is held during the first week of the academic year when students have the opportunity of familiarising themselves with the services offered by the College and other entities.
Ħolqa is an annual multi-disciplinary international youth arts festival organised and hosted by the Department of Creative Arts and Design at Ġan Frangisk Abela Junior College. Ħolqa is an opportunity for students aged 16 to 19 to come together as an artistic community in a collaborative and creative environment. The festival holds a supportive educational space for students to give exposure to their art, to hone their artistic skills, to share and discuss them with fellow creatives, and to get a taste of what it feels like to work in the ‘industry’.

The University Junior College Awards Ceremony is held annually as a special occasion to celebrate excellence amongst students. Students who obtain the highest marks in their assessments and end-of-year examinations, and attend sessions regularly throughout the whole course, are eligible for an award. Awards are also presented to students who during their course of studies distinguish themselves in co-curricular activities and in activities which contribute towards their holistic development, as well as the good name and the ethos of the College. The Awards Ceremony is usually held in November.
During this meeting, parents/guardians will be provided with more information about the Junior College, what is expected from their child or dependent, and how they can be involved throughout their course of study. The meeting is usually held in the last week before the start of each academic year. Details about this meeting are sent at the end of August to the email address that the accepted student would have submitted with their application.

Every year, the College opens its doors to the public to give people the opportunity to get a sense of what College life is like, and to present a wide range of useful information on the subjects offered.
On the day, visitors also have the opportunity to go round the Campus, view the facilities and resources, meet the subject coordinators and other members of staff, and find out more about studying at Junior College. This activity is very useful to prospective students as it helps them to make informed decisions. The Open Day is usually held towards the end of February.
The yearly Orientation Meetings are intended to provide prospective students and their parents/guardians with all the information required for admission to the Junior College. This includes details regarding the entry requirements, the various Study Programmes, the Enrichment Programme as well as regarding all the facilities that are available at the Junior College. These meetings happen in mid-July.
The Soirée and Christmas Concert are two events at the College during which students have the opportunity to express their creativity through song, dance, music and theatre. The activities provide students with the possibility of developing their talents, with the assistance of professional staff.

The Junior College Sports & Wellbeing Festival consists of activities and workshops to promote awareness on various aspects of healthy living. Throughout the festival, students and staff are given the opportunity to engage in physical activity and sports. The Festival is usually held in November each year.
