Quiet areas

You may use the spaces listed below as Quiet Areas to follow online sessions.

Conditions to use The Quiet Areas

  1. Use of earphones/microphones is a must.
  2. Be considerate to others around you.
  3. Social distancing must be respected at all times.
  4. Before you use these spaces it is important that you download the COVID-19 contact tracing app. The app - COVID Alert Malta - is available for download on the Apple Store and Google Play. It will let users know if they have been in close contact with someone who tests positive for the COVID-19.
  5. Students need to book a space beforehand using the links below. Each room is booked for an hour, so if you need the same room for longer you will need to submit a booking for every hour. This is done so that use of the area is organised into hours to facilitate contact tracing.
  6. Anyone caught using a Quiet Area without booking will face consequences which may include suspension.
  7. If you need to cancel a booking, send and email indicating your name, surname, ID number, room number/area booked, date and time of booking to the Student Services Office using these links in red. The subject of your email should be 'CANCELLING Quiet area booking'.

Booking is simple. Select the room you are interested to book for one hour from the list below - only the rooms hyperlinked in red below can be booked. If you need the area for longer then you need to submit a booking for every hour. If you need to cancel a booking follow point 7 above.

Once you submit your booking you will receive a notification with your booking. Keep this handy on your devices as proof of your booking. Students caught without this proof will not be allowed to stay in a quiet area and may lead to their suspension. Book your place in a quiet area in advance, ideally a day or more before.
