FAQ for Physical Education

Most of the intermediate syllabus is theoretical.  However, it does involve a physical test that will require speed, endurance, flexibility and core strength. The video analysis section might also have a practical component. 
As a student you will be required to be able to analyse two different sports chosen by MATSEC in terms of technique, tactics and game rules. 
Although having PE at SEC-Level will help, there is no need to have it to apply for the course as all topics will start off from the very basics. 
A 1 mile run, sit ups, sit-and-reach and 35m sprint. It is recommended that students should be in a good state of health in order to be able to participate in these tests. 
It is not an easy test, however with some commitment it is very possible to gain full marks. 
PE intermediate is taught with two lectures per week. 
As with any other subject it depends on the commitment and time you put into it. 
There is no need to have previous or current training programs with a club. If you are interested to know how the human body and brain respond to physical activity and training, together with learning about the social element of sport and physical activity, then welcome on board.
