FAQ for Environmental Science

No, Environmental Science is a Science and doesn’t have anything to do with Environmental Studies studied at secondary level. 
No, there are no special requirements to study Environmental Science.  No matter which science subject one would have studied at secondary level, the basic scientific knowledge required for Environmental Science is covered during the first few weeks of the course. 
One cannot consider that Environmental Science is a difficult subject like any other subject at this level, provided you commit yourself, take down notes, study and do the work given i.e., you need to commit yourself like in anything else. 
There are three lectures a week. 
No there is no project associated with this subject. 
As per JC policy there are two assessments during the first year and another two during the second year. The marks for your assessment are from HW and tests during the term. There will be minimum of three common pieces of work for each assessment. 
The Environmental Science Intermediate course is spread over four semesters so you will not have covered all the topics by the end of the first year. 
Lecturers are not obliged to give notes but it is up to the lecturers which method they adopt, some might dictate notes, others would expect students to take down their own notes during the lectures whereas others give out notes. 
Yes there is a textbook which is found in the list of textbooks.
