Physical Education subject information

Intermediate level

Lectures: 2 hours per week


Physical Education is offered only at Intermediate level.

Students taking Physical Education will be able to study both the theoretical and practical aspects of the subject in order to better understand and analyse the major concepts underlying sport and physical education. The topics covered during the two year course consists of techniques, tactics and rules of team games, anatomy and physiology, acquiring movement skills and socio-cultural  studies and the role, structure of international and local sport organisations. Fitness tests are carried out periodically throughout the study period.

The College offers an additional choice of two special programmes, one for students who qualify as national team athletes and another one for those who completed their compulsory education at the National Sports School.
