Junior College Multi-Disciplinary Conference: Research and Practice and Collaboration

18-20 September 2017

‘Connections’

The University of Malta Junior College shall host its inaugural edition of The Junior College Multi-Disciplinary Conference: Research, Practice and Collaboration, which is set to be held from the 18th-20th September 2017.  The chosen theme for this conference is ‘Connections’ offering scope for constructing and deconstructing the appreciation of inter-disciplinarity and connections/disconnections that may exist between the following areas of study: the social, natural and human sciences; arts and the humanities; education; business; technology and the environment.  The conference invites scholars to ponder the multi-layered connections of these disciplines vis-à-vis research and practice, theoretical issues, communication, the pedagogy of formal/informal teaching, concept formation, mental models and modelling, and the contextualisation of values and ideas.
