Welcome to the Inclusion-Equity Office.

At Junior College, we recognise that the ages of 16 to 18 represent a pivotal stage in personal and academic growth. The Inclusion-Equity Office was established to ensure that every student—regardless of background, ability, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, or socioeconomic status—has access to the resources, support, and inclusive environment needed to reach their full potential. Working alongside college departments, committees, and staff, our office is involved in specialised training, develops policy, and strengthens overall student wellbeing services to foster a safe and welcoming learning community free from discrimination and harassment.

How We Support Our Community

• Student Mentorship & Support: Serving as a primary point of contact and mentor for neurodiverse students, students with disabilities, international students, and gender-variant students—including assistance with access arrangements and legal name changes. The office also manages the use of the Multisensory Room.
• Policy Implementation & Ethics: Oversight of the College’s Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) Policy, ensuring alignment with University of Malta strategic goals, handling DEI complaints, and supporting anti-harassment initiatives.
• Staff & Community Support: Conducting tailored information for staff on disability awareness and inclusive practices.
• Collaboration & Outreach: Partnering closely with the JC Wellbeing Services, the UM Health & Wellness Centre, Access Disability Support Unit (ADSU), feeder schools, and international offices to ensure continuous, accessible support from admission to graduation.
