E-learning is 'the use of information and communications technology (ICT) to enhance and/or support learning'. Currently, e-learning is primarily delivered through the Junior College’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) maintained by IT Services.
The JC VLE is a web-based learning environment which provides tutors with a range of tools to support students with their studies. The JC VLE contains class areas that are only accessible to students who are registered to the respective classes on JC SIMS (Student Information Management System).
This website is designed to help and support academic staff and students with the use of the JC VLE.

- Many tutors make use of the JC VLE. Tutors will advise students if the JC VLE is being used for a class.
- The copyright of all material including but not limited to past papers and specimen papers placed on VLE belongs to, and remains the property of the lecturer concerned and/or the Junior College. The material is being made available only to enrolled students of the Junior College for private purposes. It is an infringement of the copyright law to copy such material and place it in the public domain, whether in whole or in part, without the authorisation of the copyright holder. The Junior College takes these matters very seriously and disciplinary action may be taken against students who violate copyright law apart from any damages that may be claimed under applicable laws.
- Any marks or grades displayed in the JC VLE are not official. The official grades are available on eSIMS JC.
